Ingredients:
450g minced meat
2 tablespoons garlic and parmesan breadcrumbs
2 eggs
Salt, to taste
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
2 carrots
5 potatoes
Olive oil (for frying)
100g sun-dried tomatoes
250ml tomato sauce 250ml
beef broth
Chili pepper, to taste
Italian herbs, to taste
Capers
Garnish: parsley
Instructions:
Make the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Form the mixture into small meatballs about 2-3cm in diameter.
Cooking the Meatballs:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Make the sauce:
In the same pan, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced carrots. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.Add the sun-dried tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth to the pan. Season with chili pepper and Italian herbs to taste.
Stir well and bring the sauce to a boil.
Simmer the meatballs:
Return the cooked meatballs to the pan with the sauce. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and tender.
Serve:
Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to a serving platter.
Garnish with capers and chopped parsley for extra flavor.
Serve hot, with cooked potatoes or your favorite side dish.
