The “Miracle” Tooth Photos – What’s Real? 🦷

The “Miracle” Tooth Photos – What’s Real? 🦷

Before:

  • 🦷 Teeth with silver fillings
  • ⚫ Black spots that look like cavities

After:

  • ✨ Same teeth with the fillings “gone”
  • ✨ Black spots “disappeared”

Right Side:

  • 🌿 Turmeric + oil on a toothbrush

💡 These photos are edited or misleading. Dentists cannot make fillings vanish, and cavities don’t heal on their own.

2. What Turmeric + Oil CAN and CAN’T Do

Turmeric

  • 🌿 Has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • 🦷 Some people use it to support gum health.
  • 🟡 Can stain teeth, gums, and toothbrushes yellow.

Oil Pulling (Coconut or Sesame Oil)

  • 🥥 A traditional practice of swishing oil in the mouth.
  • 🦠 May help reduce some bacteria and dry mouth.
  • 😌 Can feel soothing for some people.

What They DON’T Do

  • 🚫 Fill cavities
  • 🚫 Remove dental fillings
  • 🚫 Rebuild lost enamel
  • 🚫 Treat tooth decay or dental infections

3. What Actually Works for Cavities

  • 👩‍⚕️ Visit a dentist: Early decay may be treated with fluoride. Larger cavities may need a filling, crown, or other treatment.
  • 🪥 Use fluoride toothpaste: Brush twice daily to strengthen enamel and help reverse very early decay.
  • 🦷 Floss every day: Removes plaque between teeth where cavities often begin.
  • 🍬 Limit sugary and acidic drinks.
  • 📅 Schedule regular dental cleanings: About every 6 months, or as recommended by your dentist.

4. Safety Notes

  • ⚠️ Don’t skip the dentist: Delaying treatment allows cavities to worsen and may make treatment more expensive.
  • 🟡 Turmeric can stain: Teeth, gums, tongue, and toothbrushes may become yellow.
  • 🥥 Oil pulling: Don’t swallow the oil. Spit it into the trash, not the sink, to help avoid clogged pipes.
  • 🚨 Pain, swelling, or fever: See a dentist as soon as possible.

🦷 Bottom Line

Turmeric and oil pulling can be part of a gentle oral care routine and may help with gum comfort.

❌ They do not cure cavities, remove fillings, or regrow lost enamel.

The viral before-and-after photos showing fillings disappearing are not real.

💙 The best way to protect your teeth is simple: regular dental care, fluoride toothpaste, and daily brushing and flossing.
