2 eggs and a little flour, this is how I make apple pie | It’s super creamy but without the cream.
The recipe: lots of apples and little pasta: an easy and inexpensive apple pie!
Why complicate your life unnecessarily? Sometimes simplicity pays off in the kitchen. This recipe below proves it. It’s a magnificent apple pie where the apples take center stage and can be made in just a few simple steps. It’s also quite affordable, which is a plus these days.
Let’s see how it’s prepared.
The recipe: lots of apples and little pasta: an easy and inexpensive apple pie!
The ingredients
We need:
2 eggs; 1 pinch of salt; 50 g sugar (3 tablespoons + 1/2); 100 ml milk; the zest of half a lemon; the juice of half a lemon; 50 g butter; 80 g cake flour (four tablespoons); two large apples (or 4 small ones); a teaspoon of baking powder.
The preparation
First, crack two eggs into a large bowl. Season with a pinch of salt and whisk together. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Now add 50 grams of sugar to the eggs and continue mixing with the whisk. Then add 100 milliliters of milk (a glass) and continue mixing. Once the milk has incorporated, grate the zest of half a lemon into the bowl and continue mixing.
After mixing for a bit, add 25 grams of melted butter to the mixture and continue whisking. Next, add 80 grams of soft wheat flour in two batches, stirring between each batch. Once the flour is incorporated, it’s time to add the apples.
We remove the cores, peel them, and then cut them into thin slices. We then sprinkle them with the juice of half a lemon to prevent them from browning.
Okay, now let’s add the apple to the dough bowl and mix. Now add a teaspoon of baking powder and mix again.
Now take a baking dish, line it with parchment paper, and pour in the mixture you’ve been creating so far. Level it out and pour 25 grams of melted butter over it, then sprinkle with sugar and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 55 minutes.
Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your meal!
