They capture the essence of the iconic Big Mac but with the added heartiness of a sloppy joe, making them the ideal indulgence when you’re craving something both nostalgic and satisfying.
⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon light or regular mayo
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
½ tablespoon yellow mustard
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
1 pound ground beef (90% or any % you prefer)
½ yellow onion, finely chopped
⅓ cup of the secret sauce
2 slices American cheese
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste)
¼ teaspoon pepper
4 sesame seed buns
Lettuce
4 slices American cheese
Pickles (optional)
Diced onions (optional)
In a small bowl, mix together the mayo, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.
Lightly toast the sesame seed buns in a toaster or skillet until golden.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onions. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
Drain any excess fat, if necessary.
Stir in ⅓ cup of the secret sauce, 2 slices of American cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Mix until the cheese has melted, creating a creamy, flavorful sauce that coats the beef.
Place a piece of lettuce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
Add a slice of cheese, followed by ¼ of the sloppy joe mixture.
Top with pickles, diced onions (if using), and an extra drizzle of secret sauce.
Complete with the top half of the bun.
Serve warm with your favorite sides like fries, chips, or a crisp coleslaw.
